Did you know: Lost Parents?
Your kids know exactly where they are – Disneyland… or perhaps with Mickey Mouse, etc. It is more likely that you lost your child. Disney trains extensively on how to handle these situations, which happen frequently. We see a lost parent, or a child looking for their lost parent, on almost every trip. If you’re one of these unfortunate parents, simply find a cast member who can assist you. If you see an obviously separated child, alert a cast member. They will take care of them for you. For older kids, be sure to establish a meet-up location in case of separation, or they can leave a message for you at City Hall.
Some strategies include: using your camera or phone to take a picture of them every day before you go to the park, that way you’ll have a current photo, as well as what specifically they were wearing that day. Also as a runner, we use something called RoadID which are bracelets with our name and contact information, so if something was to happen while we’re out running, an emergency worker will know who to contact. They make some specifically kid sized, which would be great for your wandering-prone little ones. See http://www.roadid.com/
