Terror Threats and Travel (Updated)
While the U.S. State Department still does not cite any specific target, it should be noted that certain countries in the UK and Europe have increased security at specific airports and train stations because of credible threats.

According to London Heathrow Airport’s website, “At the request of US authorities (TSA) additional security measures are being carried out by airlines flying to the USA. If you are flying to a US destination, please allow extra time for your journey.”

French news agency, AFP, citing the Bild (a German publication) reports that “Al-Qaeda is plotting attacks on Europe’s high-speed rail network,” and that “authorities in Germany have responded to the threat with discrete measures such as deploying plain-clothed police officers at key stations and on main routes.”
